Accurate fisherman’s calendar for May 2026 by day

We remind you that there is currently a ban on fishing during the spawning period, and the restrictions introduced by the Government will continue:

• Rivers and straits:  from April 1 to May 20.
• Reservoirs, lakes, ponds:  from April 1 to June 10.

• New Moon month – May 15;
• Full moon month – May 30;
• The best bite in May for fishing is: May 3–7 and 18–22, 2026;
• Weak bite or may not be there at all in May: from May 14 to 16, and from May 29 to 31, 2026;

Fisherman’s Calendar for May – Bite Forecast by Day

May 1 — Stable average bite. Peaceful fish are caught well in the morning and evening.
May 2 — More activity. An ideal day for catching crucian carp and roach.
May 3 — One of the best days in May. High activity of almost all types of fish (save so as not to miss it).
May 4 — Very good bite, especially at dawn, so it is better to arrive at the reservoir as early as possible.
May 5 — An excellent day for those who catch a predator: pike and perch are actively feeding.
May 6 — Stable bite for all types of fish, baits of animal origin work well.
May 7 — Peak of activity. Large trophies are possible. Save these dates for fishermen.
May 8 — The bite is gradually decreasing, but still remains good.
May 9 — Average level of activity, it is better to fish in the morning because by the evening there will be a decline.
May 10 — The bite is unstable, depends on the weather on this day, you may be lucky, or not.
May 11 — Weak bite, the fish is passive, so don’t waste time.
May 12 — Bad day for fishing, empty trips.
May 13 — Very weak activity, the fish almost does not react to anything.
May 14 — One of the worst days of the month, spend this time with loved ones.
May 15 — New Moon. The fish practically does not bite, so rest.
May 16 — Gradual recovery of activity, but the bite is still weak and uneven.
May 17 — Average bite, it is better to use fragrant baits, you may be lucky.
May 18 — The beginning of a favorable period. The fish is becoming more active. Go fishing in good weather!
May 19 — A good day for catching white fish – the masters are ahead!
May 20 — High activity, stable bite throughout the day. A good day.
May 21 — One of the best days for fishing. Save it for yourself!
May 22 — Great bite, especially for those who are spinning.
May 23 — Activity is decreasing a bit, but there is still a good last chance.
May 24 — Average bite, the fish is cautious and no longer giving in.
May 25 — Unstable activity, it is better to fish in the evening.
May 26 — The bite is weakening, the result depends on the place, but not as good as in previous times.
May 27 — Weak day, the fish is sluggish.
May 28 — Very weak bite, not the best time to go. Don’t waste your time.
May 29 — Activity decreases before the full moon.
May 30— Full. Fish are inactive, biting is minimal. Minus day.
May 31 — Bad day for fishing, low activity.
