1. Principles of News Creation and Information Management We are guided by the following rules when preparing materials:

• Objectivity and Impartiality: We understand how important this is for our readers and cover events neutrally, giving the floor to all parties to a conflict whenever possible. We avoid emotional bias in news, clearly separating facts from comments and evaluative judgments.
• Independence: We are not funded by the state, political parties, private companies, or any other groups or unions. This allows us to provide an exclusively independent summary of facts about events in Ukraine and the world and their impact on individuals or society as a whole.
• Clear Distinction Between Facts and Opinions: We clearly distinguish between factual statements and the author’s personal opinion. Author opinions are marked accordingly: “in the author’s opinion,” “the author of this article believes/assumes/thinks,” etc. Materials containing personal opinions are published in the “Partner News” or “Blog” sections and are marked so that the reader can distinguish them from news facts.

2. Source Verification Policy (Fact-checking) Accuracy is our top priority. The verification process follows this algorithm:

• Priority of Primary Sources: We always try to obtain information from primary sources: official statements of state bodies (Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the Armed Forces, Office of the President, Office of the Prosecutor General, National Police, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education and Science), corporate press releases, direct participants in events, and our own correspondents on the scene.
