September is a special month for Orthodox Christians, because it is a time when everything begins from the beginning. That is why on the first day of September we celebrate the church new year. Or as they often say the beginning of the indict (church year). Also in this month there are a lot of twelfth holidays, namely September 8: The Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary and September 14: The Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Creating Cross of the Lord .

This month also commemorates the memory of the saints: Prophet Moses, Michael, Sophia, and John Chrysostom.
