By Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 981 of July 29, 2026, a New Procedure for Verifying the Validity of Military Registration Documents by a Consular Official of a Foreign
Diplomatic Mission of Ukraine Abroad was adopted.
This Procedure establishes a clear procedure for verifying the validity of military registration documents in foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as diplomatic institutions) under martial law upon applications from male citizens of Ukraine aged 18 to 60 for the performance of consular actions .
The provisions of this Procedure do not apply in the case of:
- registration of an identity card for return to Ukraine;
- performing consular actions regarding children of citizens of Ukraine, the second parent of which is a foreigner or a stateless person;
- taking action based on applications from citizens of Ukraine who are under arrest, detained or deprived of their liberty abroad.
