Fans of the cult TV series ” Kyiv Day and Night “, which conquered the screens in 2016-2019, finally received official confirmation: the story is returning to the big screen. The full-length sequel promises to be one of the most high-profile events in Ukrainian film distribution in the fall of 2026.

When is the premiere of “Kyiv. Day-Night” in Ukraine?
The official release date for the film “Kyiv. Day-Night” in Ukrainian cinemas is November 5, 2026. The film is being released with the support of the KyivFilm studio, and the project was directed by Andriy Burlaka , who previously produced “Once Upon a Time Near Poltava” (a famous sitcom from the Kvartal 95 studio ). It is expected that the screening will take place in the largest cinema chains, such as Multiplex, which has already released a promo on its page , Planeta Kino, and Oscar.

The plot of the film is based on the motifs of the original project “Kyiv by Day and by Night”, but takes us to the present day. The authors of the film (in particular, producer Yevhen Taller) set out to explore how our favorite characters have changed over the years.
It is expected (according to the film’s descriptions) that we will see the process of their growing up and the new challenges they face today. Despite the serious topics of no longer little people, the creators promise to preserve the same “signature teenage drive and sincerity” for which viewers once fell in love with the series.
In addition, the film will have an inclusive adaptation for people with hearing or vision impairments and will be broadcast in cinemas in Europe so that Ukrainians abroad will also have the opportunity to enjoy the continuation of the cult series on the big screens.
