Radio technology expert and former advisor to the Minister of Defense, Serhiy Beskrestnov, warned Ukrainians about a new serious danger – Shahed-type kamikaze drones, which are equipped with an online control system . The main feature of these devices is the operator’s ability to adjust the flight in real time, which allows the enemy to hit not only stationary objects, but also moving targets , such as minibuses, ambulances, trucks, tanker trucks, etc.
Where is the area of greatest risk?
According to the image, the potential damage area includes:
- North and East: Fully or partially Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
- South: Odessa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.
- Center: A significant part of Dnipropetrovsk region (including Dnipro and Kryvyi Rih), as well as border areas of Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions.
The boundaries of this zone are determined by the enemy’s current online control range limitations.
Why is this dangerous for businesses and civilians?
Unlike conventional drones that fly at predetermined coordinates, online-controlled “Shaheeds” can “hunt” for objects directly during flight.
Particular vigilance should be exercised:
- For owners of logistics centers and large warehouses.
- Gas station chains and enterprises in the fuel and energy sector.
- Managers of industrial facilities.
How to protect yourself?
The expert emphasizes that staying in the “red zone” requires strict adherence to safety measures. Key recommendations include:
- Do not ignore air alert signals – jet drones have higher speed, which reduces reaction time.
- Providing shelters for personnel at enterprises is critically necessary.
- Preparing and diversifying business for possible point-to-point strikes on infrastructure.
Remember that being in the “red zone” means increased risk, where the enemy has the technical ability to see the target through the drone’s camera and direct it to the most vulnerable places, so if you receive an air alert, follow it to a safe place and wait for the “reply”.
