The situation on the front remains extremely dynamic. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct active combat operations, combining tough maneuverable defense in critical areas with powerful counterattacks.

Main news: Almost complete liberation of Dnipropetrovsk region

liberation of the Dnipropetrovsk region ZSU map

The most important strategic victory of recent times was the official confirmation from the Chief of the Main Operations Directorate of the General Staff, Major General Oleksandr Komarenko – the Dnipropetrovsk region has been almost completely liberated from occupation troops .

According to the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian units have successfully cleared almost the last areas where the enemy tried to hold positions. This liberation is of great importance both for the safety of the civilian population of the region and for the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because from now on the Dnipropetrovsk region can feel and function as a more reliable and secure rear, ensuring the grouping of troops in the eastern and southern directions.

Where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are defending: Threat to Kramatorsk, Sloviansk, and Konstantinovka

Where is the ZSU offensive now and where are they holding the defense map

One of the hottest spots remains the direction north and south of Bakhmut. The enemy is concentrating significant reserves, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense line in Kontyantynivka and reach the road towards Sloviansk, where there are several other large cities of the Donetsk region along the strategic road.

Pressure on the Minkivka – Pryvillia line

Russian offensive on Kramatorsk and Slavyansk

According to the latest combat maps, Russian forces are conducting intensive assault operations west of Soledar and Bakhmut. The main attack vectors (marked by red arrows) are aimed at the following settlements:

  • Minskivka
  • Privilege
  • Fedorivka Druha

Strategic line of defense

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have built a powerful containment line (blue dotted line on the maps) along the Markovo – Rai-Oleksandrivka axis . The enemy aims to break through this defense line. The dotted red lines vectors in the photo above indicate the occupiers’ ambitions to advance to Orikhuvatka and Rai-Oleksandrivka. The ultimate goal of these assaults is obvious — creating a bridgehead for a direct attack on the Kramatorsk-Slovyansk agglomeration . Our defenders heroically repel these attacks, preventing the enemy from realizing their strategic plan.

Where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are counter-offensive: Tactical successes and seizing the initiative

While in some areas of the front the Armed Forces of Ukraine are exhausting the enemy in defense, in others the Ukrainian forces are demonstrating high maneuverability and carrying out successful tactical counterattacks.

In the direction south of Pokrovsk and Bogdarivka (on the border of Donetsk and Zaporizhia regions), Ukrainian units are actively moving to offensive actions.

As can be seen from the frontline analytics:

  • The enemy is trying to put pressure in the area of Novomykolaivka and Berezovoye .
  • Instead, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (blue arrows) are delivering powerful flanking and counterattacks.
  • These actions force Russian troops to halt their advance, go into a defensive posture, and in some cases, retreat from previously occupied positions, as in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which we wrote about in the article above. Such counterattacks allow Ukrainian forces to improve their tactical position and cut off enemy advances.

Results

Today’s strategy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is based on flexibility: maximum preservation of vital forces, depletion of enemy reserves, widespread use of drones and robotic systems. Special attention is now being paid to the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction, where active defensive actions are being carried out, and measures to neutralize the enemy. Well, it is clear that victories without using any opportunity for counterattacks where the enemy least expects it. are impossible. Therefore, we are waiting for the complete liberation of the Dnipropetrovsk region, confirmed by the Ministry of Defense, which is clear evidence that the initiative is gradually passing into the hands of Ukraine, creating the prerequisites for further large-scale de-occupation actions.
