Life in two countries: Barcelona and Kyiv
Now the actress lives in two countries, combining Ukraine and Spain, namely its capital Barcelona. Kuznetsova frankly spoke about her life abroad, as follows:
- She rents an apartment in the very center of Barcelona for 1,500 euros per month (this is a very big fortune, the actress herself admits).
- Among the main disadvantages of living in Spain, the actress highlights the slowness of the locals, but notes that she has already gotten used to it.
- She also mentioned the crime when her godson was robbed on the street, simply by tearing the chain from his neck, but she herself has adapted to this and is not afraid.

Personal life and principles in relationships
“Life is a piano, where there are white and black keys, but there are more white ones,” Katya philosophically sums up her experience.
The actress did not avoid the topic of romantic relationships, calling herself a “free bird” who constantly strives for personal freedom and puts herself first in relationships.
- Kuznetsova admitted: “I could have kept my first and second relationships, but I chose to be happy.”
- Through the prism of years, she also realized that she positions herself more as a careerist and clearly sets priorities: “I understand that I can’t let someone down if someone calls and says that they only want me.”
- Interesting fact: the actress said that she would never date a man who listens to “chanson”.
The thorny path to fame: from $20 to million-dollar project budgets
Katya started her professional career from the bottom, which she doesn’t regret. Her first filming was in a music video, where she was paid $20 for the role of a prostitute.
The first truly large-scale project in her career was the TV series “Kitchen”, which was filmed in Russia (the actress noted that this happened because at that time her career was not developing in Ukraine).
- At first, she auditioned for the role of an ordinary hostess, but later she was invited to one of the key roles – Sasha.
- According to Kuznetsova, the budget of “Kitchen” was a significant $8-9 million for such projects.
- On the set, she was terribly afraid of actor Dmitry Nazarov (who actively opposes the war in Ukraine).
- An interesting coincidence: as soon as the actress was approved for the role in “Kitchen”, Zhanna Badoeva called her and offered to become the host of the popular travel show “Eagle and Tails”.
Problems of Ukrainian cinema
Today, Katya Kuznetsova believes that Ukrainian cinema is going through a difficult phase. She admits that she feels discomfort with some low-quality Ukrainian film products.
The main problems of the industry, according to the actress:
- Insufficient funding . First of all.
- But an equally important factor is the low level of professional education.
- Kuznetsova is convinced that at least 5 unnecessary subjects should be removed from the programs of specialized universities, and instead, maximum emphasis should be placed on “students’ curiosity.” She suggests installing a projector in the classrooms and constantly watching and discussing cult films for the professional growth of Ukrainian students.
However, the actress agrees that despite the criticism, the industry continues to grow and work, and fans of Ukrainian TV series have good news: Katya confirmed that there will be a second season of the project “Love and Flame.”
