Why did the recount under Resolution No. 236 take place right now?
On February 25, 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 236 “On indexation of pension and insurance payments and additional measures to increase the level of social protection of the most vulnerable segments of the population in 2026.”
Based on which, from March 1, 2026, an automatic recalculation of pensions was carried out for those who received a pension before December 31, 2025 inclusive. The indexation coefficient is 1.121% (i.e. +12.1%). This is the highest indexation level in recent years, higher than the inflation rate in 2025.
The recalculation affected almost 10 million pensioners. The money has already started to arrive since March (or since April for March). Who is subject to automatic pension recalculation?
Pensions assigned until December 31, 2025 were subject to recalculation :
- Pensions by age
- Disability pensions
- Survivors’ pensions
- Military pensions
- Chernobyl pensions
- Pensions for civil servants, scientists, local deputies, etc.
Pensions awarded from January 1, 2026 are not recalculated (they are already calculated based on the current salary).
Also, starting from April 1, 2026, pensions will be transferred to working pensioners (for 24 months of additional service).

Recalculation of working pensioners from April 1, 2026

Insurance payments to victims — separately indexed
Resolution No. 236 separately indexed monthly insurance payments to victims of industrial accidents and their family members. The coefficient is the same — 1.121. The maximum increase is UAH 2,595.
What to do if the raise didn’t come or the amount seems wrong
- Check in Diya or on the PFU portal.
- Call the PFU contact center.
- If there is an error, submit a request through Diya or in person at the service center.
