Accurate fisherman’s calendar for June 2026: Bite forecast by day

It is probably no secret that June is one of the most favorite months among fishermen. After all, fishing in this month is very profitable if you know on which days according to the phases of the moon the fish will bite. There are also other factors, for example, the water has already warmed up enough, and the spawning ban on most reservoirs of Ukraine is already ending, and the fish begin to actively eat, restoring strength – as fishermen say, “fish feast”. Our accurate fishing calendar for June 2026 is created taking into account the lunar phases , temperature regimes in June and biological rhythms of underwater inhabitants.

Daily Bite Forecast: June 1 to 30, 2026

Bite forecast table for June 2026

June 1: A perfect day for predatory fish. The waning moon creates ideal conditions for pike and perch fishing in shallow water, where small fish bask in the morning. Use surface baits such as poppers or light spinners.

June 2: A great day for fishing for simple, peaceful fish on a float with a fishing rod. Crucian carp and roach actively respond to plant-based baits: mastirka, pearl barley or sweet dough. The best time for fishing is from dawn to 10:00, after which the activity will decline.

June 3: Stabilization of atmospheric pressure, if anything, other than summer heat, will positively affect bream activity. For successful feeder fishing on the riverbanks, be sure to use abundant baiting with the addition of molasses and animal components (chopped worm or bloodworm).

June 4: Fish activity may decrease slightly, but the bite will resume late in the evening. On this day, you should focus on delicate tackle: use thin leashes, small hooks and sensitive floats. Experiment with flavors (garlic, dill) to provoke the fish to bite.

June 5: A neutral day when the results will depend entirely on your skill. The predator is reluctant to respond to fast casting, so try a jig with long pauses near the bottom. Occasional pike-perch bites are possible in the evening hours.

June 6: The lunar phase (last quarter) makes the fish sluggish and cautious. Daytime fishing may not bring the desired result, so it is better to postpone the trip to the night. If there is a desire to fish, then only early in the morning and if after rain. This is a good time to set bottom gear for catfish or night bream.

June 7: The bite is weak. The water warms up quickly under the summer sun, so the fish look for deep holes or hide in thick reeds. To avoid “zero”, offer the fish only live bait: maggots or dung worms.

June 8: The situation on the reservoirs is slowly starting to improve, look for fish on both banks. Towards evening, a surge in carp activity is expected on the paid reservoirs. Be sure to bring corn and sweet boilies (strawberry, plum).

June 9: Excellent conditions for fishing for tench in quiet, overgrown reeds and branches. It is better to fish with a float rod, putting a bunch of red worms on the hook. Keep perfect silence on the shore – tench is extremely cautious.

June 10: The fish sense the approaching new moon and begin to actively replenish their energy reserves. Be prepared to take more. This is one of the best days of the month for all-purpose fishing: both spinning and feeder gear will work equally well on rivers with a medium current.

June 11: At dusk comes the star time for lovers of fishing for pike perch with wobblers, do not miss this day, such days are few in the summer heat. The predator comes out to the sandbars and shallows to beat the fry. Use baits of natural colors with a small depth.

June 12: High feeding activity of all representatives of the cyprinid family. Fish calmly, the fish will find you. Guster, bluefish and roach will greedily grab the bait both from the bottom and in the water column. Do not forget to regularly feed the fishing point.

June 13: Excellent bite throughout the day. Even beginners today have a high chance of a trophy or just a good catch in terms of the number of tails. The fish are losing their vigilance, so you can safely use coarser tackle and large attachments to cut off small fish.

June 14: The influence of the new moon reaches its peak. This is a classic time for catching a large predator, so predatory fish masters should prepare. Pike come out of ambushes and actively attack large silicone lures (swimbaits) and heavy spinners on the eyebrows and in the depths.

June 15: New Moon (new phase of the moon). The practice of our previous forecasts shows that often on such days the bite becomes unpredictable: the morning fish exit can last only 30-40 minutes. Focus on finding fish with an echo sounder or carefully marking the bottom.

Accurate fisherman's calendar for June 2026

June 16: The moon begins to grow, which stimulates daytime fish activity. Prepare your rods. On small rivers, chub and ide bite wonderfully on crucian carp or small crayfish. Move along the bank quietly, casting under overhanging bushes and trees.

June 17: Golden crucian carp day! You can try fishing from the shore and you will have success. Go to village ponds and small lakes. The crucian carp will willingly respond to semolina-“chatter” with the addition of a drop of anise or honey. The best places are windows of clear water among algae.

June 18: A good day for boat fishing enthusiasts with a “ring” or side rods. Prepare the boat for the swim early so as not to miss the chance. In the deep-water areas of the reservoirs, a stable bite of trophy bream and large bream is expected.

June 19: Spinning anglers should pay attention to the surface activity of perch. The so-called “perch cauldrons” are formed, where flocks of striped predators drive fry. A small spinner or tail spinner will ensure a catch with every cast. Circle this date on your calendar at home.

June 20: As the air temperature rises, fish move to shady areas or to fast currents, where the water is more enriched with oxygen. Fishing with a line on the current will bring good results for roach and bream. But good preparation and skill of the fisherman also play a significant role.

June 21: Summer Solstice. The water is warmed to its maximum, so as soon as the sun starts to shine, daytime fishing becomes ineffective. Plan to go out only at night or before sunrise. After 9:00 a.m., the fish lie down on the bottom and stop feeding.

June 22: The first quarter phase of the moon sharply reduces the appetite of underwater inhabitants. The fish are capricious, often plucking the bait without swallowing the hook. You will have to be patient and experiment with the length of the leash. Here you need to show skill to “catch something”.

June 23: The weakest day of the week, don’t miss the opportunity for a good catch. Even in proven places, bites will be rare and uncertain. The only chance to catch a predator is to catch a live bait late in the evening or use super-sensitive feeder rigs (inline).

June 24: The situation under water is gradually normalizing. The fish are getting used to the weather conditions of the second half of the month. Bottom fishing is starting to work again. Catfish are becoming more active in the rivers, reacting to a bunch of creepers or turtle meat. Buy them at the fishing store for more.

June 25: The approach of the full moon stimulates predators to hunt at night, we prepare tents and night trips (taking into account the curfew in the relevant region). Pike perch and burbot (where it is still found) are actively looking for prey near rocky ridges and hydraulic structures. For catching peaceful fish, it is better to use combinations of attachments (sandwiches).

June 26: Excellent whitefish bite in the morning hours. As the moon grows, carp begin to consume more food. Feeder fishing at long distances (from 40 meters) will bring a stable catch of crucian carp. Control all rods if you fish with two hands.

June 27: A real holiday for spinningists. The predator is aggressive and angry, attacking the bait with a blow. This is a great day for testing new baits or mastering complex casting, such as twitching large minnows for pike. Spinning fishing is not cheap, so be well “armed” for fishing.

June 28: Peak carp activity. The water is warm enough, so the fish have a fast metabolism. Don’t be afraid to overfeed the spot, don’t skimp on the bait: a generous starter feed of large fraction (pellets, grain mixes) will keep the fish in place for a long time.

June 29: Full moon. Often during this period, the daytime bite completely disappears, but at night the fish go crazy because they are starving. Night fishing with a feeder with fireflies on the tip of the rod will bring not only a catch, but also incredible aesthetic pleasure.

June 30: The end of the month promises a stable and even bite for all fish species. The transition period before the July heat still allows for comfortable daytime fishing. Choose any of your favorite tackle — luck will be on the side of persistent fishermen today.
