In his Telegram channel, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko announced an insider tip for military personnel, namely, how much the military’s salary will be raised in 2026 as part of the new army reform announced by President V. Zelensky .

Details on the salary increase for the military in 2026
The MP explained that his information is reliable, since its source is a distributor of drafts of new contracts in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which the military has already begun to receive. They were previously announced by President Zelenskyy together with Defense Minister Fedorov .
Conditions that will be included in new contracts
1) Measures to financially stimulate and provide for military personnel through new payments and cash benefits, within the framework of the 2026 reform:
- The basic monthly payment for privates in 2026 will increase from UAH 30,000 per month.
- The fee for concluding an annual contract, a one-time fee – annual (due to the annual term of the contract) – a fixed amount of 27 thousand UAH.
- Monthly additional payment for signing the contract – UAH 10,000 at the end of each month of the contract.
- The additional payment for capturing an enemy is a fixed rate of 250 thousand UAH per 1 prisoner.
- The payment for the destruction of the enemy is fixed at 25 thousand UAH for every 200th occupier.
- The payment for capturing positions is fixed at UAH 40,000 per day.
- Payment for restoring positions – 20 thousand UAH per day.
- Payment for completing tasks on the front line – 8.7 thousand UAH for each day on the front line.
Under the new conditions (if a soldier is on the front line for 30 days ), his income can amount to 301,000 UAH per month, consisting of:
- Basic salary: 30,000 UAH
- Additional for the contract: 10,000 UAH
- Combat (8.7 thousand UAH × 30 days): 261,000 UAH
- + ~2,250 UAH/month on average for signing a contract (from a bonus of 27 thousand UAH)
Total per month:
≈ 303,250 UAH
(if you also take into account the annual bonus of 27 thousand UAH, this is + ~2,250 UAH/month on average)

During a full moon, income on the front line can increase by approximately 2.5 times — from ~120 thousand UAH to ~300 thousand UAH.
Contract terms
The conclusion of a contract with the above payment terms for a period of 1 year is available exclusively to active military personnel (service in a combat company).
The conclusion of a contract with the above-listed terms of financial incentives and payments, for all other categories of military personnel (those not on the front line) and ordinary civilians, is envisaged with a minimum term of 2 years or more.
Conclusion of contracts
It is currently known that as of 2026, it is proposed to conclude contracts for new financial payments, possibly in 3 stages:
- At the first stage, this type of contract will be available to servicemen from major combat units, combat military units up to and including a company (mechanized, motorized infantry, assault, airborne assault, marines, special operations, etc.).
- In the second stage, new financial contracts will be available to servicemen from combat military units not included in the first stage, as well as for military units of the Navy, Air Force, Air Defense, Airborne Forces, and Air Defense Forces.
- At the third, final stage, materially new contracts with higher payments will be offered to servicemen from military command bodies, military units of logistics, support, medical, CCC and SP, VVNIZ and others.
Right to be fired under new contracts 2026
According to the deputy, in addition to financial increases and bonuses for military personnel, it is proposed to grant the right to deferment from conscription for mobilization after discharge to those military personnel who have signed a contract for 2 years or more.
The number of months of deferment will be calculated as follows: 1 month of combat missions equals 3 months of deferment in civilian life after release upon expiration of the contract.
