For many internally displaced persons (IDPs) of retirement age, the issue of receiving stable additional financial assistance from the state is critical to maintaining a stable standard of living.
Therefore, it is not surprising that today one of the most common requests to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) from working pensioners with IDP status is: will official employment affect the automatic extension of material housing assistance? Do I need to go to the ASN again and collect certificates? In this material, we analyze in detail according to the official explanation on the PFU website.
Automatic extension: the main condition is the size of the pension
According to the officially approved Procedure for Providing Housing Assistance to IDPs ( CMU Resolution No. 332 ), payments for a certain category of pensioners are automatically extended for the next six-month period .
The key factor here is not the fact of employment, but the size of your pension payment now.
Important figure: In 2026, the “threshold” value is an amount not exceeding four subsistence minimums for persons who have lost their ability to work. That is, it is UAH 10,380 .
Does work affect IDP payments?

Since many pensioners are concerned: if I work and receive a salary, will my IDP benefit be canceled? It follows from the resolution we mentioned above that what matters is not the fact of official employment, but the total amount of income received per month.
The PFU informs about this in its explanation and adds that this norm is unambiguous and the fact of employment and income received in the form of wages do not affect the right to automatic extension of benefits.
In simple terms, this means that if your pension is less than UAH 10,380 , you can continue to work – state assistance to you as a pensioner with IDP status will still be accrued automatically . You do not need to go to the ASN again and collect certificates .

We analyze situations using a practical example
Let’s consider the situation using the example of a single female IDP pensioner who receives an old-age pension of UAH 8,400 and officially works for the minimum wage of UAH 8,647 per month (before taxes).
- Since the amount of UAH 8,400 is less than the limit of UAH 10,380, the payment of state housing assistance to IDPs to such a person will be continued without additional application to the ASC.
What to do if payments have not arrived?
The Pension Fund of Ukraine warns: although the process is automated, sometimes technical issues or the need to clarify data may arise, due to which the payment may not be received. If you belong to the category of persons whose pension is less than the established limit, but the payment has not been extended, you should contact the PFU contact center hotline for advice, tel.: 0 800 503 753 .
And more contacts for information: The Pension Fund of Ukraine provides information support through:
- Landline phone number: (044) 281-08-70, (044) 281-08-71.

PFU separately reminds and encourages you to use the PFU electronic services portal to obtain the necessary certificates or view the status of your payments online, authorized using an electronic digital signature.
Result
Finally, I would like to note three important facts for pensioners of IDP status in Ukraine, you should remember that:
- IDP assistance is automatically continued if the pension does not exceed UAH 10,380 (as of 2026).
- Salary is not taken into account when determining the right to this automatic extension – only the amount of the pension matters (it should not be higher than UAH 10,380 as of 2026).
- No repeated submissions of documents to the ASC: if you meet the criteria, you do not need to apply, just wait for the payment to be automatically credited to your social account.
