Due to massive enemy shelling of the power system, which occurred intensively during the winter and continues now in the spring of 2026, hourly outage schedules (HOU) are being introduced in the Cherkasy region as of March, April, and May.

So, tomorrow the lights in Cherkasy region and the region will be turned off according to the following schedules.

• Group 1.1 – without shutdown
• 1.2 group — without disconnection
• Group 2.1 – 09:00 – 11:00;
• Group 2.2 – 09:00 – 11:00;
• Group 3.1 – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.;
• Group 3.2- 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.;
• Group 4.1 and 4.2 – 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM;
• Group 5.1. – 15:00 – 17:00;
• 5.2 group – 15:00 – 17:00;
• 6.1 group — without disconnection
• Group 6.2 – without shutdown

Why were outage schedules reintroduced today?

In the period of March 2026, the Cherkasy region had a difficult situation with electricity due to another series of hostile attacks on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine, accordingly, NPC Ukrenergo gave the order to apply hourly outage schedules in the Cherkasy region. This is not the first such situation this spring. Energy workers are forced to balance the system in order to avoid a complete blackout.

Schedules are entered in queues (subqueues) . Each group (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 3, 4, 5.2, 6.1, etc.) has its own shutdown window. Today, the restrictions will last from 17:00 to 22:00 . Hours may change if the network condition worsens or improves. The weather outside the window also affects.

From 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, many areas of Cherkasy will be without electricity. Here is what energy experts and the State Emergency Service advise:
