“The enemy has already seen the hit”: Zelensky announced new Russian responses to strikes on Ukraine

Ukraine will continue to strike fair and tangible blows in response to Russian terror against civilian cities and villages. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he has already agreed on new formats for countering the aggressor.

The head of state announced this in his next video address, published on Friday, May 15, 2026.

A just response to Russian terror

According to the President, Ukraine has every reason and opportunity to make the occupiers feel the consequences of their actions on their own territory. Every missile or drone strike on Ukrainian infrastructure will have a mirror response.

“Of course, we must respond fairly and tangibly to all Russian attacks on our cities and villages ,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized.

New formats agreed: Russian oil and military facilities under the sights

The Head of State emphasized that the country’s military and political leadership had developed and approved new strategies for response. The enemy was able to assess the results of this work during the latest night operations.

In particular, successful strikes on strategic targets on the territory of the Russian Federation have been confirmed. First of all, we are talking about military facilities and oil facilities that provide support for the occupation group of troops.

“I have agreed on some response formats. Last night, the enemy already saw hits, including on their oil facilities and military facilities. Operations continue ,” the President summed up.

We, in turn, would like to remind you that recently, explosions and fires at oil refineries (REFs), oil storage facilities, as well as military airfields and ammunition depots have been recorded almost daily in the territory of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have repeatedly stated that such facilities are legitimate targets, since they directly support the Russian military-industrial complex, and our weapons allow us to inflict long-range damage deep behind enemy lines.
