Since childhood, we all remember that the profession of a teacher is an extremely difficult job. According to the official state calendar , Education Workers’ Day in Ukraine does not have a fixed date. This holiday is transferable, meaning it is traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of October each year .
- Exact date: in 2026, the official Teachers’ Day falls on Sunday, October 4 .
- An important nuance: since Sunday is a day off, in all educational institutions, celebrations, holiday concerts, and gift-giving are traditionally held the day before, so Teacher’s Day at school will be celebrated on Friday, October 2, 2026 .

The celebration of Teacher’s Day in Ukrainian schools largely began in the Soviet era, when it was always accompanied by a special atmosphere with strict formalism.
