Due to the abnormal heat in Europe, which has recently reached Ukraine, the load on energy networks has increased manifold due to the use of air conditioners, refrigerators and other energy-consuming resources. In this regard, Ukrenergo announced the introduction of consumption restriction measures for businesses and all categories of consumers throughout the country, including power outage schedules (from 0.5 to 1 turn) during peak hours.
Nationwide power outage schedule
According to Ukrenergo’s recommendations, local market operators should reduce load during the following peak hours:
- 17:00 – 22:00 – for industry and business by introducing personal power limitation schedules;
- 17:00 – 22:00 – introduction of hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 outage groups – with a volume of 0.5 to 1 queue.
Power outage schedule in Chernihiv
Following Ukrenergo’s instructions to limit electricity consumption in the regions, local operators, including JSC “Chernihivoblenergo”, have published the current schedule of hourly power outages (HOUs) for tomorrow, June 30. Looking ahead, we can say that for the absolute majority of consumers in the region, namely groups 1-5 and their subgroups, there will be no power supply restrictions yet, but for two subgroups, the lights will still be turned off in the evening hours.
Detailed schedule by queue for June 30:
- Queues 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2: no outages are predicted. Consumers in these groups will have electricity throughout the day.
- Queue 6.1: the power outage is scheduled for the evening — from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM .
- Queue 6.2: the power outage will last from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM .
Possible changes and checking your queue
Energy experts emphasize: the situation in the unified power system of Ukraine remains dynamic and depends on many factors (the main one of which is currently abnormal heat). However, in the event of an additional power shortage or other unforeseen circumstances, the schedule may be adjusted, including in Chernihiv, the power may be urgently turned off to some other groups outside the schedule published above.

Despite the fact that most lines in Chernihiv will not be disconnected tomorrow, energy professionals are urgently asking all consumers to be as economical as possible and not to turn on energy-intensive appliances during peak load hours.
A special request to consumers who are connected to lines with critical infrastructure facilities (and therefore not subject to planned outages) to be understanding of the situation and your responsible consumption helps the power system maintain balance and reduces the duration of outages for other residents of the region.
