Here comes the hot July in Frankivsk again. According to the analysis of the weather by month in previous years, this month is traditionally the warmest of the year in the Carpathian region. However, looking ahead, we note that July 2026 may be marked by real temperature records. According to the World Center for Hydrometeorology Research, this year’s average temperature in Europe may show an additional +2 degrees at the summer equator. In Ivano-Frankivsk, this month will also be abnormally warm: the average monthly temperature is expected to be 22.1°C, which is 3 degrees higher than the climatic norm.

General climatic picture and temperature regime of the month (analysis)
The first decade of July will bring real heat to Ivano-Frankivsk . From the very first numbers, the thermometer columns will rapidly climb, reaching 26–31°C, and on July 7, a peak of heat of up to 35°C is possible. After that, a cold front with thunderstorms will pass, which will have a hint of heat during the day, which will refresh the air somewhat with evening rain, lowering daytime temperatures to a more comfortable 23–26°C.
In the second and third decades of the month, dry sunny days are expected to alternate with periodic short-term showers. Nighttime temperatures in the city will remain stable and comfortable for sleeping – mostly within 15–18°C.
